Procedure details:

The pen-shaped handpiece delivers focused laser energy selectively absorbed by haemoglobin in blood vessels. The heat generated causes the blood to coagulate and the vessel walls to collapse and be reabsorbed by the body — making the visible vessels disappear.
How it works
VascuPen emits a 530nm wavelength targeting maximum absorption by haemoglobin. When laser energy reaches a targeted blood vessel, the haemoglobin absorbs it and converts it to heat — raising the vessel temperature, causing the blood to coagulate and the vessel walls to collapse and be naturally reabsorbed. The surrounding skin is unaffected because the wavelength is highly selective for haemoglobin.
